Engineering - R & D

In order to increase quality of the products and production processes and to meet with the customer's expectations, SEGER has own R&D Department within Engineering Department which has expert team with the professional qualifications.

R & D activities;

• Implementation of new product designs;

New design workings in SEGER have been made under the leadership of R & D department and by quality team formed with different departments. New product workings are supported with DOE, QFD, Design FMEA, Benchmark, etc. design methods. During the design of new products, prototype preparation workshop is used by R&D team. It is also holded 3D rapid prototype machine which especially helps to produce plastic prototype parts. Prototypes are being tested by R&D department with the performance tests in Quality Laboratory in order to meet with hardest customer engineering requirements. Each stage of the design plan is reviewed by quality team and is passed to the next level after achieving targets. After obtaining good results in designing, design is approved by quality team and start workings for mass production. During mass production related designs, internal data and customer feedbacks are being monitored carefully and corrective and preventive activities are constantly improved.

• The new process design realization;

With the approval of new product design, it is started to work on the required process in order to produce products in most efficient way. The new process design studies are followed by Quality team under the leadership of R & D department with the same method as new product designing. Horn assembly lines, work stations, assembly and controlling fixtures and all kinds of plastic and metal molds in SEGER China and Bursa have been designed and produced by SEGER’s experienced and expert teams. In the new process designing, being more impeccable, and Poka-Yoke works are standing in the forefront and high-tech automation systems are being used.

• Product and process development;

In accordance with changing technology and customer demands, there are being done improvement with the philosophy of continuous development. SEGER arranges daily production analysis meeting every day and any problems that faced during production are analyzed by quality team. SEGER’s R & D team Works together with other departments in order to decrease problems and discarding to the minimum levels. Moreover, information obtained from customers feedback helps to SEGER to develop new products and processes.
